I love New Game+; I can't tell you how many times I've entered Unity in Starfield. Elden Ring? Oh yeah, you better believe I enjoyed my end-game power all over again at the beginning.
CDPR decided, however, that they weren't going to do New Game+ for Cyberpunk 2077.. So it was up to modders to fill that void.
New Game Plus - Wake The Fuck Up Faster is - quite possibly - the best NG+ implementation I've ever seen, whether from a mod or something baked into the original game.
I tested this out with one of my favorite builds: A combat hacker that utilized a unique cyberdeck that's challenging to get, and requires making some specific choices towards the end of Phantom Liberty.
That also means that you don't get as much game-time with said cyberdeck, which made me sad.
This NG+ implementation in Cyberpunk 2077 will let you retain all your gear, adjust your stats, pick a different background, and customize your character's look all from a seamless interface that looks & feels like it was built into the original game.
You can also choose to start with the Sandra Dorsett gig, or start post-Arasaka gig.
I chose to start with the Sandra Dorsett gig, and it was a near-flawless experience. The only complaint I had is that some of my cyberware was unequipped due to perks being reset at the start (a minor limitation, given you can always respec those later as many times as you like), but the critical stuff (smartlink, blood pump, cyberdeck) were all still in-place.
This shit is fire. Modders have always been the savior of Bethesda titles, but in this case, Cyberpunk gets a second redemption story thanks to modders..
Oh, and you'll find some new challenges courtesy of this mod. I got jumped early on after the Sandra Dorsett mission, and holy fuck was I unprepared for that challenge; Much like the NPC from the "Burning Desire" side-gig, I felt a pain in my virtual loins unlike any I had ever experienced.
So, if you're on PC and want to enjoy NG+ in Cyberpunk 2077, definitely pick up this mod. You'll need to install a lot of dependencies - that's just the nature of Cyberpunk 2077 modding - but as long as you use Vortex to handle it the entire process is painless.
