We're finally getting a new Sniper Ghost Warrior game.. in 2027

Oh shit, is it Christmas? Do my eyes deceive me? Are we really FINALLY getting another game in the Sniper Ghost Warrior series?

Apparently, according to a CI Games Strategy Update and Product Roadmap that got published.. Yes.

In 2027.

Maybe.

For those of you who are unaware, I'm a huge ELR (extreme long-range) target shooting nerd as well as being a crazy woke leftist gamer. I actually have my own fun little challenge exclusive to my fellow chronically ill (and not in the 90s dope-fresh-and-fly kinda ill, although that works in my case) target shooting nerds called the "Sub-MOA Spoonie Challenge".

Anyway, on page 11 of the above PDF, we see "Project SGW Evolved". Not much is known aside from it being the "Next Major Iteration", and including some survival mechanics, built in UE5.

I'm hoping that means it'll be more like SGW3, rather than the Contracts side-series. I liked Contracts 2 mechanically, but it just wasn't as immersive as 3 was. "Major Iteration" hints at it being something fresh, and survival mechanics would definitely be an interesting addition.

Especially if we get to ditch the magic bullet-drop HUD; I wanna actually DOPE out my rifle. Let me bust out a Kestrel and do the work, dammit! :D
